Emergency housing is temporary housing for people during times of crisis. This includes people who have become homeless or for other reasons can no longer stay where they were living.

Different nonprofit organizations support the homeless. They include:

Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH)
CSH provides high-quality advice and development expertise to those supporting homelessness by making loans and grants to supportive housing sponsors, by strengthening the supportive housing industry, and by reforming public policy to make it easier to create and operate supportive housing.

National Coalition for the Homeless
The National Coalition for the Homeless has the mission to end homelessness. Their website provides links to various programs and advocacy groups supporting the needs and rights of the homeless.
