Lifeline and Link-up programs provide telephone financial assistance to eligible households. Lifeline keeps telephone service affordable by reducing monthly telephone charges and Link-up is designed to pay for local telephone connection and installation charges. Eligible households will reduce their monthly bill to no more than $15 under the Lifeline program for the following services: a residential line,120 local calls, 911, and Federal subscriber line charge. To be eligible for both you must receive benefits from one of the following: WI Homestead Tax Credit, Wisconsin Works/W2, Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income, Food Stamps, Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program or Badger Care.
