Description:
Lifeline is an emergency response system. When you need help, you push a button you are wearing which activates a communicator. The communicator will alert a trained person that you need help. The person will then alert a nearby friend, relative, or neighbor that help is needed. There is a one-time installation fee for the communicator plus a monthly monitoring fee. Reduced fees are available for anyone through the VNA Foundation for those who qualify. Responders are available in Hmong and Spanish. Also available through Lifeline is Med Monitor, which is a taped message that verbally reminds individuals to take medication on time.
Another service is the Home Telemonitoring. It can check daily weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and oxygen saturation and provides written reports to the doctor via the telemonitoring staff.
Also available is the Lifeline programmable telephone with reminder and emergency response capabilities. Six reminder messages can be programmed into the telephone for daily, weekly, or monthly reminders to take medication, etc. The cost is the same as the regular Lifeline unit.
