Description:
The Older Abused Women’s Program reduces and eliminates violence in the lives of women age 50 and older who have been victimized by their spouses or adult children. This is achieved by providing one-on-one case management, which includes crisis counseling, information and referral, civil and criminal justice support/advocacy, assistance in securing crime victim compensation, personal advocacy, and ongoing follow-up. In addition, the program holds weekly support groups facilitated by older women.
