It is what creates satisfaction in life, the ability to maintain good relationships with others, as well as productivity in school and the workplace. While healthy lifestyles and healthy environments contribute greatly to good mental health, mental disorders will affect 1 in 4 Americans each year. In fact, mental illnesses are more common than cancer, diabetes, or heart disease. The good news? Mental illness can be effectively treated. MHA believes in educating the public to help break the stigma that surrounds mental illness.
MHA provides counseling for various Mental Health issues including: BioPolar AKA: Manic Depressive Ilness: Extreme mood swing, such as very high and then very low. Serves people of all ages in Sheboygan County. Depending on the specific need, may serve residents of adjoining counties who are without Mental Health Services.
