Wood County Transportation offers several different transportation opportunities for adults age 55 and older and disabled adults in Wood County.
Bus Service: Transportation provided to meal sites, grocery stores, beauty shops, or medical appointments. Buses run for anyone 55 and older and adults with disabilities. Call by noon the day before.
Transportation-Out of town medical appointments or social events: Volunteer drivers provide transportation for medical appointments or social events. Serves seniors 60 plus and fees vary by destination and purpose of ride. Please make reservations 5 days in advance. Riders must be ambulatory. This service is non-emergency and covers the State of Wisconsin for medical appointments.
Marshfield Bus Transportation
In Marshfield, bus transportation is provided Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The bus is equipped with a wheelchair lift.
Wisconsin Rapids Bus Transportation
In Wisconsin Rapids and Port Edwards, bus transportation is provided Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Nekoosa and surrounding areas is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-12:30p.m. The bus is equipped with a wheelchair lift.
