The Clark County Department of Social Services offers... a variety of services that include children, youth, families, and older adults. The following services are offered to the elderly:
Community Options Program (COP) and Medicaid Waivers Program (COP-W) The Community Options Program was established to provide flexible, cost effective, comprehensive home-based services to elderly and disabled individuals who are at great risk of entering a nursing home.
For the persons who are medically and financially eligible for COP services, the social worker will arrange for the services or equipment to meet the needs of the person provided funding is available.
Intake Assessments And Case Management, Elder Abuse and Neglect Investigations,which includes, physical abuse, neglect, self-neglect and material abuse. Elder Abuse Funds, Food Share Program,Fuel Assistance, Medical Assistance Program, Medicare Savings Program, QMB/ Qualified Medicare Beneficiaries, SLMB and SLMB+, Protective Services, Guardianship, Spousal Impoverishment, SSI-Exceptional Expense Supplement (SSI-E) and Volunteer Transportation Program.
