Promoting the Optimal Health Of Clark County Citizens... These are some of the Public Health Services provided by the Health Department.
Health Promotion, Public Health Nurses are available to do presentations for community groups on health topics. Literature and videos on many issues are available to loan out through the Clark County Health Department Office. Public Health Nursing, Public Health Nurses are available on health counseling for individuals on health concerns. Immunization Clinics, Clinics are held in Neillsville, Greenwood and Owen. Chronic Disease & Injury Prevention, Public Health Nurses will provide information to decrease tobacco use and exposure to second hand smoke. Human Health Hazard
Investigation of Sanitary Conditions, The Health Officer will investigate any legitmate complaints (ex. Rodent infestation, lack of running water, no working septic system) Wisconsin Well Woman Program, Provides preventive screening for uninsured and underinsured women.
Communicable Disease Control and Prevention, Public Health Nurses will contact individuals diagnosed with a communicable disease such as Lymes, Salmonella, or E-Coli.
