Description:
Providing care can be an incredibly rewarding experience, but there is no doubt that, even under the best circumstances, it can be a very stressful one as well. We are here for you!
The Department offers a number of support programs for caregivers, such as a free caregiver support group, informational mailings, caregiver training (Powerful Tools for Caregivers classes), caregiver book lending library, information and assistance, respite care, and temporary in-home support such as personal care, home or chore service, and transportation assistance. A caregiver facilitator may also help you identify your needs and help you access available services.
All information, education, and support are designed especially for those providing support for persons age 60 and older, and to grandparents raising grandchildren. Please call (920) 787-0403 for more information.
