Workforce Development Center is part of the Wisconsin Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.
Partnered with Arbor Education & Training: Administers the W-2 program. WB Contact is Joy Rautmann 335-5310. Families with children under 18 can be referred if they have a 5 day eviction notice or an utility disconnect notice for assistance.
Special Services - Work with disabled people, 18 years of age and up, who have the potential to work. Evaluation, medical, vocational, training and placement, based on financial aid, artificial limbs, hearing aids, etc.
Eligibility for Vocational Rehabilitation: 1) the presence of a physical or mental impairment including but not limited to the following: blindness, visual impairment, deafness, hearing impairment, speech impairment, learning disabilities, brain trauma, epilepsy, heart disease, drug addiction, spinal injury, neurological disease, muscular disease, skeletal and joint disease, amputation, mental retardation, mental illness and alcoholism; 2) the impariment must be a substantial impediment to employment; 3) the individual requires vocational rehabilitation services to become employed.
The Workforce Development Center's mission is to advance the economic well-being of the region by developing and maintaining a quality workforce, and by serving as the focal point for local and regional workforce development initiatives; this is to be achieved through the co-location and integration of employment, training, education and economic development services for job seekers, workers and employers.
