Administers Social Security, Medicare, and Supplemental Security Income benefits. Issues new and replacement Social Security Cards, and corrects earnings statement errors.
SOCIAL SECURITY provides monthly benefits to disabled and retired workers and their families, survivors benefits to the worker's dependents, and Medicare for the retired and disabled.
The SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY INCOME (SSI) program provides a monthly benefits plus medical assistance to people age 65 or over, or to those who are blind or disabled, and who have limited income and few resources. Also covers disabled children and low birth-weight babies.
The Wausau office also provides speakers on SSA and SSI issues, free of charge. Call (855) 278-4194 Ext. 33723 Groups over 20 people only please.
