CHAPS is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the strength, health and well-being of those who live in our community since its founding in 2004. MCA specializes in counseling providing critical support to the people that CHAPS serves.

Hope Lives! Suicide Prevention & Intervention We engage at-risk individuals and their families in crisis intervention services that meet their needs. Our approach is family focused and strengths based. This, in combination with the use of horses in therapy, guides often resistive clients to build rapport and engage fully in the therapeutic process and leads them on a journey of healing. They find hope and a will to live. No child in need of suicide prevention services is asked to wait, regardless of the family's ability to pay.

Hope and Healing Day Treatment Program. Suicide Prevention & Intervention Hope and Healing is a trauma focused day treatment program provided to teenage girls between the ages of 13 and 18 years of age. The program uses a multi-disciplinary approach and works closely with community and school resources to help clients reach their full potential. The program focuses on the family system and involves the family in therapy and treatment planning.

Special Gifts.

Guided by a Master's level counselor, this program engages the family and the youth through individual and family sessions utilizing a strengths-based, creative approach--perhaps with legos, a puppet theater, or some other modality. The program builds skills essential for restoring and/or increasing social interaction, self-regulation, and behavioral goal setting, while utilizing individual talents and interests to motivate success.

Family Counseling.

Family Counseling offers traditional and creative counseling services to children, adolescents, families and adults living with a variety of behavioral and mental health issues. The Family Counseling program offers counseling services that address the following issues:
