Home Rehabilitation Loans & Grants to individuals and families with very low income.

USDA-Rural Development's home repair program is a federally funded program that offers 1% interest loans to homeowners to make repairs and/or improvements to their homes. These loans can be amortized over a 20-year period, making the monthly payments as low as $4.60 per thousand dollars that is borrowed. The Maximum loan limit is $20,000.

Common repairs completed with the repair program are Furnace replacement, Electrical Blank Pre-screening Applications and Adjusted Income Limits for Direct Housing Program, Home Repair Loans & Grants, and Guaranteed Housing Program Loans are also on file).

Program for Individuals & Families: Home loans to low to moderate income households. Provides loan assistance to make essential home repairs for very low income home owners and grant and loan assistance for elderly, very low income home owners. Loan/grant funds can be used for weatherization purposes, electrical work, structural repairs, well, septic, furnace, home modifications to accommodate a handicap, or other essential repairs. Grant recipients must be 62 years of age or older. There are no age restrictions to receive a loan. See information on file for additional details.
