Description:

The Aging Resource Center of Milwaukee County offers information, assistance, and referrals regarding resources for older adults residing in Milwaukee County.

The Aging Resource Center provides a single point of access to information, community services, and wellness programs that can help people 60 years of age or older remain active and independent in their community. The Aging Resource Center's Information and Assistance Call Center services include general information and assistance via telephone inquiries, walk-in contact, email, and through the Community Programs Outreach team. Note: Office hours for walk-in customers are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.

The Call Center writes up referrals for Managed Care Waiver Programs and elder abuse/neglect concerns and completes applications for transportation services and Home Delivered Meals. The Resource Center's Access Units provide home visits to complete Options Counseling Assessments (Long Term Care Functional Screens and Medicaid/Title 19 applications) and will share information on a wide variety of resources and services available to residents of Milwaukee County.

The Resource Center's Protective Services Unit provides services such as investigations of allegations of Elder Abuse/Self Neglect and at-risk Brief Services. Please call 289-6874 to confidentially report concerns.

Dementia Care Specialists are available to serve the individual, their family, and the community. Their goal is to create a Dementia Friendly Community by helping the individual connect with opportunities and services, guide caregivers to the support resources available, and develop partnerships with businesses and promote civic awareness of dementia.

GO Pass is a Transit System bus pass available for eligible seniors or persons with disabilities. The pass allows one day unlimited rides for $2.00 on MCTS buses. The Aging and Disability Resource Centers of Milwaukee County will process applications for a one-time fee of $5.00 at the Marcia Coggs Center, 1220 W Vliet Street, Milwaukee, WI 53205 between the hours of 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
