Some of the advantages of a Tri-County ADRC include quality of service, operational efficiencies, and greater consistency for providing resources and services to the community. A tri-county ADRC includes maintaining a resource database, staff training, marketing, outreach, and development of public information materials. Taking advantage of technology makes it possible to serve the public from one location via the telephone and internet. The quality of services improves when the counties combine operations making it possible to hire staff that is specially trained in the various functions of the resource center and in the needs of the different target populations it serves. The ADRC has the capability to respond quickly to consumer requests and have consistent services available to resource center customers.
Services include: information and assistance, long term care options counseling, elderly benefits counseling, disability benefits counseling, prevention strategies, community resources and adult protective services.
